Oh yes! That’s what we call a well-balanced touring boot. Here’s the Alpinestars *Air Plus V2* with GORE-TEX XCR climate membrane. It’s the Alpinestars interpretation of a comfortable all-weather boot for the entire season. The abbreviation XCR stands for EXtended Comfort Range because XCR guarantees optimum breathability and keeps your body – in this case your feet – drier than the conventional GORE-TEX climate membrane.

The XCR membrane absorbs 0.5 l more moisture in 6 hours on one day without compromising onwaterproofness or weight. Moreover, the Alpinestars fit and quality of make are simply fantastic. The perforations, which are distributed over the boot, and the use of a large-mesh textile fabric mean that your feet will always be well ventilated.

Good to know:
Your breathable shoes are wind and waterproof. However, boots are only breathable if you’re wearing technical socks. Whereas cotton socks absorb moisture, technical socks draw sweat and moisture away from the foot, initially into the shoe. The breathable shoe membrane then transports the moisture completely out of the shoe. Breathability is thus ensured.
